Pre-Forclosures on Zillow
In the world of real-estate there are many ways to buy and sell a Home. One of those ways is Zillow. While this can be a handy tool, it’s important to know as much information as possible about the tools we are using.
In our past experience pre-foreclosures have always been FAKE on Zillow. The problem is Zillow pulls records from the county and if anyone misses a payment on their house or is late on a payment it reports to the county and then Zillow adds it as a pre-foreclosure to it’s site.
Super annoying!
We get calls and requests for showings on these in Idaho Falls and surrounding areas constantly!
KEEP IN MIND:
#1. Anything that goes into foreclosure will be listed in the newspaper 100% of the time due to Idaho state law requirements for the foreclosure process to take place, so that is your best source for finding foreclosures.
#2. The house must be purchased with cash at any foreclosure auction.
#3. Recently banks have been getting top dollar just like any other property listed for sale in this seller’s market due to the low supply of homes.
#4. Buying a foreclosure in Idaho Falls and surrounding areas could cost you more because of the likelihood of frozen plumbing and hairline cracks in pipes that can leak in the future due to the banks being unaware just how long a home has been vacant. They have been putting large minimum price caps that they will allow a home to sell for, so most homes don’t go to auction around here and just go straight on the MLS for the whole public to purchase.
